Moose Manor and Raccoon Ranch are located between Flagstaff and Williams, just south of the I-40, in tall pines on the edge of national forest. Travelling from Phoenix takes a bit over 2 hours, depending on where you start in Phoenix. All but the last three miles of that travel are on 4 lane divided interstate freeways! Area Attractions You may never want to leave Moose Manor. But, just in case you need to go out, here are some of our favorite places to go. If you have little ones, the Grand Canyon Deer Farm is not to be missed. One of the biggest petting zoos around, it's just across I-40. The Pine Country Restaurant. Home Cooking! The best place to get breakfast for a hundred miles. Many other businesses and information about Williams is available at the Williams Grand Canyon Merchant Association. Take a look to see what's happening in Williams. The Grand Canyon Railway. Take an antique train to the Grand Canyon! Ride the Polar Express to the North Pole from November to Christmas! Try Skiing at Williams Ski Area. Williams Ski area is a family friendly and inexpensive place to ski, snowboard or tube. The best part is...it's you'll be there in just 15 minutes. Or, if you want the big hill, try Arizona Snowbowl. Just 30 minutes away. One nearby Forest Service Trail is the Keyhole Sink Trail. It starts on the North side of Old 66, across from the Oak Hill Snowplay Area, just 5 minutes from Moose Manor. Or, start in Williams, and drive Historic Route 66 through the Kaibab National Forest. It's all within a stone's throw of Moose Manor. Here's a good sized list of local attractions: Lastly, the Forest Service operates a visitor center year round in Williams. Maps, attractions and helpful advice are always available. |
