Moose Manor and Raccoon Ranch are located between Flagstaff and Williams, just south of the I-40, in tall pines on the edge of national forest.

This is a perfect location for experiencing the major attractions and sites in Northern Arizona. It's a short drive from the Grand Canyon, Sedona's Red Rock country, the Meteor Crater, volcanic Ice Caves, the Old Route 66 charm of Williams, and right in the middle of the Coconino National Forest with ready access to hiking trails, fishing lakes and gorgeous views.

Travelling from Phoenix takes a bit over 2 hours, depending on where you start in Phoenix. All but the last three miles of that travel are on 4 lane divided interstate freeways!

Area Attractions

You may never want to leave the cabin. But, just in case you need to go out, here are some of our favorite places to go.

If you have little ones, the Grand Canyon Deer Farm is not to be missed. One of the biggest petting zoos around, it's just across I-40.

Now, if you like your animals bigger and wilder, Bearizona is not to be missed. It's just east of Williams, only a few minutes away.

The Pine Country Restaurant. Home Cooking! The best place to get breakfast for a hundred miles.

The Grand Canyon Railway. Take an antique train to the Grand Canyon! Ride the Polar Express to the North Pole from November to Christmas!

Try Skiing at Elk Ridge Ski and Outdoor Recreation. Elk Ski area is a family friendly and inexpensive place to ski, snowboard or tube. Tubing runs year round. The best part is...it's you'll be there in just 15 minutes.

The Oak Hill Snowplay Area is just around the corner, only a few minutes away. Formerly a small ski area in the 1950's, Oak Hill is now a part of the Kaibab National Forest, and the forest service normally has a volunteer Snow Ranger attending the park and tending a fire in the warming area.

Or, if you want the big hill, try Arizona Snowbowl. Just 30 minutes away.

One nearby Forest Service Trail is the Keyhole Sink Trail. It starts on the North side of Old 66, across from the Oak Hill Snowplay Area, just 5 minutes from Moose Manor.

Or, start in Williams, and drive Historic Route 66 through the Kaibab National Forest. It's all within a stone's throw of Moose Manor.

If you are a golfer, Williams has a great course, Elephant Rocks. This course was originally a sand course, with 9 holes. Now, the course has grass, and has 18 holes, with varied terrain to present a pleasant challenge. The older portions have some of the prettiest holes you'll see at any course in Arizona.
